iPhone 3G (S)peaks

iPhone 3G (S)peaks Tube. Duration : 7.47 Mins.

Yesterday at WWDC, during the intro of the iPhone 3G (S), Phil had mentioned accessibility features. I was curious as to what that meant. When I looked further into it, I noticed that Apple have ported the VoiceOver screen reader and Zoom Utility from the Mac straight to the iPhone, and have managed to port it in such a way that it's gesture controlled. One thing I forgot in the video is that there is a feature in VoiceOver, called the Curtain, where you can turn off your screen & no one can see what you are doing. I'm not talking about dimming it to the lowest setting, and the screen is still on, this Curtain will allow you to turn it off completely. I see a lot of people doing this for the soul reason of saving battery life. Another thing I forgot in the video is the ability to activate a high contrast setting - it looks similar to OS X on the desktop. 9 on contract for full accessibility for people who are blind or have low vision, this is fantastic. I'd have to see it in person, but the concept is enough to make me want to switch to AT&T. Thanks, Apple. :)
